99% Uptime

My last post was unusually positive. But that’s how I feel at the moment. I have nothing to complain about, summer has been brilliant and I wouldn’t change a single second. Really. Not a single second.

But… and it’s only a small but. As we near the end of summer, pressures start to rise on things like finding a placement for my professional training year that starts this time next year. I’ll try and cover that in more depth in a future blog post (he says frantically adding it to the growing list of topics to delve into), but essentially it’s a year spent working somewhere relevant to the course you’re studying. For me that could be places like the BBC, for example.

There are other little things that are bugging me at the moment, but none of them are enough to dampen my spirit in their own right, but together their chorus can sometimes catch me off guard.

Yesterday (Sunday) I went out with ‘the girls’ to see a free theatre production shown outside city hall near tower bridge. Had a great time and loved spending time with everyone. It tends to be very hard to get us all in one place at the same time, so I always treasure it when it happens.

Today I went to Guildford, to sort out a few things. First and foremost was going back to the house and organising my room a bit more. I also met up with a few friends for a pint in the union bar (Channies). I had a good, productive and eventful day and got everything I wanted done.

Tomorrow (or today if your being picky about the time) I have more and more things to do. Sending my camcorder off to the insurers to be fixed (or not, we’ll have to see), working on the church website, fixing a computer then I’m off to the cinema in the afternoon to see Peter Jackson’s new film “District 9”. Been looking forward to seeing that film for months, so should be good, Peter Jackson’s films are always good.

That’s it for now folks!

  • Happiness. 7 out of 10
  • Tiredness. 4.5 out of 5
  • Last Meal. very, very nice pasta :)
  • Song of the day. Lily Allen – Not Fair
  • Thought for the day. Turns out 300 texts a month might not be enough :S
  • What I’m Doing Now. Looking forward to getting a good night’s sleep and hitting tomorrow on the head!

good call! forgot to mention the meal on saturday night, always enjoy catching up with everyone. Church email should be fine now.

District 9 is set in the future, and is about a quarantined area setup for aliens that has been breached. I can give you a review later if you'd like?

hehehe... 300txts not enough ey!? I'm down to 100 from 600 to last me for another 10days! And only 27 mins from 300 for the same period! What's goin on!?!?!?

You know with the simplicity plans that u can send picture and video messages for free? It counts as four txts from your allowance... i only found that out this period... thus f-in my allowance in the a! I'll be better... just need to make it to midnight on the 17th:-)

Glad u liked the pasta :-)
